Is this ride safe on a motorcycle?

We don't rate rides as safe or unsafe: crash counts can't say how risky a road is, and popular roads have more crashes partly because more people ride them. What the records show: 167 motorcycle crashes were reported along the route from 2021–2025, 67 of them serious or fatal. What to watch for: Glendora Ridge Road is narrow with single-lane stretches, rockfall and seasonal closures. SR-39 is busy with river traffic on weekends, with cars parked along the shoulder. No fuel between the valley towns, and little phone signal on the ridge and in the canyon.
